Dr. André Maisonneuve Vice President, Strategic Planning
With more than 30 years' experience in the high-tech sector, Dr. André Maisonneuve's responsibilities include making key management and strategic decisions as well as driving marketing and sales activities. He interacts with major customers and suppliers, focusing on specific requirements and defining successful marketing and development strategies.
Prior to co-founding Validian, Dr. Maisonneuve launched and managed a number of successful private and public information-technology corporations where access to financial resources and establishment of new markets were essential components. He was director general of CESAM, a multi-media industry consortium; executive vice president of Chataqua Inc., a computer-based learning company; and chairman of ADGA Quebec Inc., a software-development company. He founded and managed an international information-technology and management-consultancy company with customers in 14 countries and links to major international development banks. He also managed a defense-electronics company, selling core technology and products to the U.S. Navy as well as to large defense contractors, such as Marconi Aerospace, Teledyne Technologies and Ericsson. As executive vice president of ACDS, Dr. Maisonneuve was instrumental in the implementation of an international distribution network for a publicly held spatial-database company whose customers included EDS, Atlanta Gas and IBM.
Dr. Maisonneuve holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and is a graduate of Harvard Graduate Business School.
