Validian Biometric Media Seal (BMS)
Validian BMS is an integrated hardware/software solution which provides secure sharing of electronic files between collaborating users. With the swipe of a finger over the biometric reader, users gain access to a secure storage, transfer, and audit solution aimed squarely at defeating hacks, attacks, and malicious activity. The solution includes Validian SSR, a Windows-based file transfer application that secures sensitive exchanges within and across organizational boundaries.

Quickly configured for each user, the portable USB-based storage device leaves nothing behind on host computers, thereby alolowing users to move freely between host computers in total confidence. Validian BMS:

• stores high-value files in encrypted form on a highly-portable FIPS-140-2 compliant USB device capable of holding anywhere from 1-80GB.
• provides user authentication using a fingerprint biometric scanner that is integrated with the USB device.
• encrypts file and message data, of any type and of any size, within the sending application and decrypts it within the receiving application, ensuring data never travels in the clear
• creates a secure real-time, media file exchange environment for employees and external partners, improving productivity and fostering efficient collaboration
• guarantees message integrity, ensuring content cannot be read or altered in transit
• provides an automatic audit trail by logging and time stamping a history of all operations performed on files (read, rename, delete, etc.)
• leverages the Validian ASI Secure Core for seamless management of endpoint authentication, data encryption, application addressing and transport, as well as key generation and distribution
• builds on and extends the Validian ASI Secure Components for secure authenticated file transfer
